how it started.
Even though mothers day was yesterday I decided to post about my sweet swwet mother today. In case you ever wondered, this is where I get it from. I mean it all, except her hourglass figure (the Gods didn't want me to be too greatLOL) but everything else I get from her. My smile, my kinda girly habits, my introverted/extroverted ways, my love for traveling and learning, my goofy sense of humor, I get it all from her. We don’t want flowers or celebrate Valentine’s Day like most girls, we eat apples with cheese, and love to dance even if it’s not the best. I remember picking up magazines when I was little just because Momma was reading them, I just looked at the pictures. She often looks at her kids and ask why are we so silly and then next thing you know she is on snapchat with my little brother singing her own rendition of Big Sean’s IDFWU (the ordained minister rendition). I remember coming home from college to walk in the house and seeing her doing Souljah Boi’s, Super Man That Hoe, thanks Glee! She is a character and a gorgeous one at that. When people tell me I look more and more like her each day, I get so excited because she is stunning. She is gracefully aging, with these three GROWN children who I am sure; to this day continue to be a headache #momlife. I told her today, "mom I love my nieces and nephews but I don’t know about kids" and her response was “even though children NEVER stop being a challenge (we are human and no one's perfect) the reward of loving that child far out ways any challenges that come along. The love that a mother has for her child can never be matched.” I love my mom and I am 100% sure there is no other mother that has her child’s back the way my mom has mine. Whatever goals, dreams, or ideas I have she is beside me pursuing every single one and fighting for them like they were her own, INCLUDING THIS EVENT! We argue, we fight, and we cry like every mother and daughter does but we also laugh and love deeply. My mom is my best friend and I love her like no other. Yesterday was a great mother’s day!
